In accordance with our department mission and the Buffalo State College Strategic Plan, the University Police Department is seeking to diversify the University Police Department to be more reflective of the community we serve and protect. The NYS Civil Service Exam is scheduled for February 1, 2020. This exam is offered only every few years and is required of anyone interested in joining any of the 28 University Police departments throughout SUNY. Applications to take the exam opened November 15 and will be accepted through December 18, 2019. Please see our recruitment poster (PDF, 1.2 MB) and video for further information.
