Tutoring in the Academic Skills Center

With the fall 2007 semester drawing to a close, students may find themselves pressed to write final papers and prepare for final exams. If you know a student who could use some last-minute help, we’d like to remind you that free tutorial services are available in the Academic Skills Center. Our staff of 12 tutors supplements classroom instruction in a wide range of subjects: mathematics (all levels), business and statistics, writing, reading, study skills, humanities and social sciences, English as a second language, foreign languages (Spanish, French and Latin grammar), computer skills, biology, and chemistry. If you feel a student can benefit from the one-on-one assistance a tutor will provide, please have him or her make an appointment by phoning ext. 4041 or by visiting our office, South Wing 330, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. We also offer some later hours to accommodate evening students. For additional information, visit our Web site. Now that you know how to contact us, we hope you’ll encourage students to take advantage of our services.
