Buffalo State's Turnitin integration with Blackboard Learn has been upgraded from Direct v2.5 to LTI 1.3 (Turnitin Feedback Studio Assignments). Buffalo State's previous version of Turnitin (Direct v2.5) is no longer supported. Any existing Turnitin assignments will continue to work through the summer term.
After 5:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, any existing Turnitin Direct v2.5 assignments must be recreated.
If you have used Turnitin within your Blackboard Learn courses, please be aware of the following timeline and action items:
Before Fall 2022 Semester
- Existing Turnitin Direct v2.5 assignments will continue to work for students and instructors.
- Instructors should copy any assignment instructions or descriptions added to Turnitin Direct v2.5 assignments and save these in a Word document on their computer or in their OneDrive.
- Instructors must use an updated process to create new Turnitin Feedback Studio assignments within courses.
- Any Turnitin Rubrics and QuickMarks will still be accessible.
After 5:00 p.m. August 29
- Existing Turnitin Direct v2.5 assignments will no longer be accessible to students or instructors via Blackboard Learn and must be recreated.
- Instructors must use an updated process to create new Turnitin Feedback Studio assignments within courses.
- Any Turnitin Rubrics and QuickMarks will still be accessible.
- Students will follow a streamlined process for submitting Turnitin Feedback Studio assignments.
