Faculty members, as you create and deploy tests in Blackboard Learn, please keep the following tips in mind to ensure the best experience for students:
- Tell Students - Update the Blackboard App
-
Inform students that they should update their Blackboard mobile app before using it to take a test. Students will experience difficulties if they are not using the latest version of the Blackboard app. If students do experience issues while taking a test, please encourage them to contact the SUNY Online HelpDesk as soon as they experience an issue.

Faculty - Check Your Test Settings
-
When deploying a test in your Blackboard Learn course, choose test settings that will help prevent timeout issues as students are taking the test. Within test settings, we recommend that faculty members
- display questions one at a time, and
- do not select "Force Completion."
-
To learn more, please register for an upcoming Blackboard Learn workshop:
