Tell Students: Workshops to Success - Accounting: Making It Your Business

Businesses are concerned with the “bottom line”—they want profit. You should be concerned with the same thing, because when you strive for the best grade possible, your letter grade becomes your “bottom line,” determining just how much you’ll profit in this field. "Accounting: Making It Your Business" is the next session in the Workshops to Success series sponsored by the Academic Skills Center of University College and offered free to Buffalo State students. This workshop will clarify the workings of accounting for you. We will discuss both basic and complex things like FIFO and LIFO inventory terms; and straight-line, double-declining, and units of production methods of expressing depreciation. Be prepared to bring up any questions you have.

Note to Buffalo State instructors: Please encourage your students to attend. Consider giving them extra credit for participating. If you wish, they can sign an attendance sheet that we will forward to you. If you have any questions, call the ASC at ext. 4041.
