Tell Students: Workforce Recruitment Program Enrollment Event - October 3

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Student Accessibility Services will host an information session on the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) on Thursday, October 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union upper lobby.

The Workforce Recruitment Program is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private-sector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.

Candidates represent all majors and range from college freshmen to graduate and law school students. WRP is recognized by the Office of Personnel Management as a model strategy in its guidance to federal agencies regarding the recruitment and hiring of people with disabilities. Since the program's expansion in 1995, thousands of students and recent graduates have received temporary and permanent employment opportunities through the WRP.

Please tell students to visit our website to see if the Workforce Recruitment Program would be a good fit for them, and to join us in the Student Union on Thursday to take the first step toward an exciting and promising career. Help us celebrate the many and varied contributions of workers with disabilities.

Visit Student Accessibility Services or e-mail DREAM at Buffalo State for more information.
