Tell Students: Mindfulness in Bengal Hall - Today

Please encourage students to register for and attend this opportunity to learn critical skills during the Mindful Skill Building Group today, October 25, from 3:30 to 4:20 p.m. in the third-floor computer room of Bengal Hall.

Mindful Skill Building is an experiential series that runs Wednesdays, October 11 through December 6, and is designed to teach coping skills for individuals who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, or other overwhelming emotions that can interfere with their ability to stay in the present or their sense of self. Open to all experience levels. Every week is open to newcomers, who are encouraged to return to learn and practice the interconnected skills.

Learn and practice a new mindfulness skill each week:

  • Manage stress and anxiety from within.
  • Reground and reset in the present moment.
  • Recognize and process difficult emotions.
  • Improve your focus and memory.
  • Listen and learn more effectively.
  • Settle your mind to access your wisdom and talent.
  • Access your own internal resources to better navigate change and uncertainty.

Students can register on Bengal Connect or email the Counseling Center with any questions. Run by Jack Mack of the Counseling Center.

View or download the flyer (PDF, 1.8 MB), which can be shared with any interested student.
