Tell Students: Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Engagement Scholarship Opportunity

The Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Engagement Scholarship provides up to a four-year scholarship to a student from Western New York who has done significant volunteer work to address community and social issues and who will commit to continuing to volunteer as a college student.

Incoming freshmen or students who will have fewer than 59 credit hours and who will be enrolled full time at Buffalo State may be eligible to apply for the Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Engagement Scholarship. 

Full eligibility requirements include the following: 

  • Incoming freshman or student with fewer than 59 credit hours
  • Enrolled full time at Buffalo State 
  • Resident graduate of a Western New York high school 
  • Grade point average (GPA) of 85 percent in high school and 2.5 in college 
  • Community service or leadership experience 
  • Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Please encourage students to submit their application for the Frederick and Marilyn Howe Community Engagement Scholarship through the Campus Application Portal for Scholarships?(CAPS).?Applications are due Monday, January 15, 2024.
