Posted: Monday, March 2, 2015Tell Students: Check Your E-mail for Invitation to Join Phi Upsilon Omicron, Honor Society for Dietetics, Fashion Technology, and Family Consumer Study Majors
Please remind students to submit their Phi Upsilon Omicron application and initiation fee to the Dietetics and Nutrition Department Office in Buckham Hall A238 by Thursday, March 12. Applications for scholarships are due Wednesday, April 1.
Becoming a member gives students opportunities to grow as professionals and as individuals. Opportunities include
- building professional leadership skills;
- developing team skills with monthly meetings during Thursday's Bengal Pause;
- access to many scholarships and fellowships available at the chapter and national levels;
- networking with other students, professionals, and alumni;
- involvement in monthly Buffalo-based community service work;
- building professional credentials for their résumés.
Members will host a Balanced U event in the Resident Dining Hall on Thursday, March 5.
