Tell Students: 2013 Alternative Winter Break Information Sessions

The Volunteer and Service-Learning Center’s Alternative Break program is heading to Detroit, Michigan, to volunteer with Cass Community Social Services December 13–18. This student-led program organizes community service trips that are open to all Buffalo State students during breaks from school. During Alternative Winter Break, students will volunteer with Cass during the day, prepare meals together, build community, explore social issues, reflect on the experience, and discover Detroit. Students are invited to learn more about Alternative Winter Break during two information sessions:

  •  Wednesday, October 30, Noon–1:00 p.m. in Bacon Hall 204
  •  Tuesday, November 5, 12:30–1:30 p.m. in Bacon Hall 205

Students must apply for Alternative Winter Break by Friday, November 8. Applications can be found on the VSLC’s website or picked up in Cleveland Hall 306. Questions can be answered by contacting the VSLC at vlsc@buffalostate.edu or ext. 5811.
