Teaching in Houston Gym This Fall? Training Required

Are you teaching in the new Houston Gym this fall? The Houston Gym features brand-new presentation equipment in every classroom. To help you prepare for the first day of classes, the Instructional Resources Office will offer two training sessions on this new equipment during August. These training sessions will be available for every faculty and staff member who will need to operate the classroom presentation equipment.*

These training sessions will last approximately one hour. Both sessions will be held in Houston Gym 212. Important note: you must attend one of these training sessions to get an overview of how to use these rooms.

RSVP for one of the following training sessions in August by calling Classroom Support at ext. 6670:

  • Tuesday, August 19, 10:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, August 20, 1:00 p.m.

If you cannot attend one of these two training sessions, you must call Classroom Support at ext. 6670 to schedule a one-on-one training session. Please note: one-on-one training sessions cannot be scheduled during the first week of classes (August 25–29). Classroom Support will require 24-hour advance notice of a training session appointment.

We look forward to helping you prepare to teach in our new state-of-the-art classrooms.

*This training will be focused on Houston Gym classrooms 212, 213, and 214. Training for the locker room presentation systems and other audio systems housed in the Houston Gym will be handled through the Athletics Department.
