The International Center for Watercolor at the Burchfield Penney is dedicated to the study, advancement, and celebration of the watercolor medium. Join us in the center's studio classroom for our Watercolor Salon Series on select Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. throughout the summer. Each salon will feature a different watercolorist, inspiring you and your fellow painters to explore new techniques and approaches to the medium. Bring your own paints or borrow a set.
$10 for members; $20 for not-yet members.
Drop-in; no registration required.
All levels of painters welcome.
August 7 | Kristy Blakely and Kathleen Raines: Two Visions of Nature
Artist Kathleen Raines loves to paint images of nature (especially birds), while her daughter, Kristy Blakely, focuses on botanical images and nature journaling. Both watercolorists have a different take on the style. The duo will share their approaches to watercolor painting at this salon.
