Student Move-In Days: Parking and Traffic Notice

Monday, August 21, through Saturday, August 26, are the designated move-in days for resident students. To accommodate the move for our nearly 2,800 residents and their families, temporary changes to campus parking and traffic flow will be made as follows.

Some parking areas, especially those near the residence halls, will be reserved for move-in activity and will not be available for faculty, staff, or student parking. Please read and observe the changes below in order to make accommodations for on-campus parking during the Residence Life move-in days. The following areas will be used for move-in activity:

Thursday, August 24
Lot R-1 (Rockwell Road) from Cleveland Circle to Academic Drive
Lot R-6 (Academic Drive) - Parking spaces designated for people with disabilities will be available.
Lot I-39 (Tower Lot)
R-7 (Union Place)
R-14 (Student)

All cars parked in Lot R-14 must be removed by 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, in order to have all check-in stations set.

Student Apartment Complex
Bengal Drive and Bengal Walk and the sidewalk between Upton Hall and the Science and Mathematics Complex (SAMC)

Perry and Cassety Hall move-in will be accessed via the roadway west of SAMC (Bengal Drive) with egress between Upton and SAMC

Porter, Neumann, and North Wing Hall move-in will be accessed via Rockwell Road and Grant Street.

Towers 1, 2, 3, and 4 move-in will be accessed via Iroquois Drive through the I-39 lot.

University Police officers, University Police student assistants, and Residence Life staff members will be available to direct students and their families to their designated check-ins and halls. We ask that you please make yourself aware of this information before the designated move-in days. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your cooperation as we welcome our new and returning resident students to Buffalo State.
