Steam Service Shutdown for Emergency Repairs: May 12

Steam service to 11 buildings in the northern area of campus will be shut down on Tuesday, May 12, to allow for emergency repairs to an underground steam line. The shutdown will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m. and continue until about 9:00 p.m. The following buildings will be affected:

  • Bulger Communication Center
  • Caudell Hall
  • Houston Gymnasium
  • Moore Complex
  • Science and Mathematics Complex
  • Sports Arena
  • Towers 1-4
  • Upton Hall

Heat and hot water service to these buildings will be disrupted during the repair. Cold water will not be affected. Members of the campus community should expect lower than usual temperatures in the affected buildings and are asked to dress accordingly.

Questions about this project may be addressed to vpfm@buffalostate.edu. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we make these necessary repairs to the steam service.
