College Relations is getting more requests from the media for experts who can provide background, context, or insight on events or topics in the news. For example, recent inquiries have been related to early childhood education, the Occupy Wall Street movement, the Erie County executive race, and events in the Middle East.

If you are interested in sharing your research and expertise with journalists, please send the necessary information to Mary A. Durlak, college relations senior writer, for inclusion in the Experts Database. We use this database to find experts in response to inquiries from various sources.

Include your name, terminal degree, title, department, e-mail address, campus phone number, and a phone number where you can be reached when you are not on campus. If you prefer not to publish your home or cell phone number online, please provide the number but clearly label it “private.”
