Join the Burchfield Penney Art Center on Friday, July 8, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of four new exhibitions: Nancy Jurs "World Peace" and "3-D Wit," featuring the work of Wes Olmsted, Nancy Dwyer, Dianne Baker, Ed Gnirke, Christy Rupp, Bill Stewart, and Allison Wilton. "3-D Wit" pays tribute to Wes Olmsted, an artist and a great friend of the Burchfield Penney, who passed away in March 2011. The museum will also celebrate the opening of “Drawing Spaces: Fotini Galanes” in the Useum and the Community Gallery exhibition,  "You see. You say. I paint. I see. I say. You paint." The exhibition was created by students of Oliver Wendell Holmes Elementary School.
