Revised Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification

The Department of Homeland Security has issued a revised Employment Eligibility Form (I-9), which must be used for all new hires as of November 7. Changes to the form include a reduction in the number of documents employers may accept from newly hired employees to verify employment eligibility. The new I-9 form (Rev 06/05/07) is the only version of the form that will be valid for new hires after November 7. The revised I-9 Form with a list of acceptable documents and instructions can be found at the Buffalo State College Human Resources Web site.
