From the President
At its May 15, 2009, meeting, the College Senate approved the recommendation brought forward by the Academic Plan Committee to support the draft 2009–2013 Strategic Plan, and forwarded the following resolution to the president for review and approval:
WHEREAS, effective long-range planning is critical to the operation and interests of Buffalo State College;
WHEREAS, the college has demonstrated measurable progress and success through its previous, now-expiring 2003–2008 Strategic Plan;
WHEREAS, the developmental process for the proposed 2009–2013 Strategic Plan has been public and receptive to responses and proposals from the entire Buffalo State community; and
WHEREAS, the resulting draft is now sufficiently comprehensive at its present level to warrant the Senate’s confidence,
THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Buffalo State College Senate offer its support and endorsement of the 2009–2013 Strategic Plan.
I hereby accept the recommendation of the College Senate to support and endorse the 2009–2013 Buffalo State College Strategic Plan. I authorize the provost to move forward with the implementation of the plan effective with the fall 2009 semester.
