Registrar's Office: January Term 2021

January Term (J-Term) is a stand-alone term that runs for three weeks between the fall and spring semesters. Classes for J-Term 2021 begin Monday, January 4, and end Friday, January 22.

Taking a class during J-Term is an ideal way to either get ahead or stay on track to graduate. All undergraduate students are strongly encouraged to take 15 credit hours in fall and spring to stay on track to graduate. Students are strongly encouraged to consider taking a J-Term class.

All J-Term classes will be offered 100 percent online; 78 classes are scheduled for J-Term 2021 as of October 6, 2020. Now is the time to understand how 100 percent online courses are structured.

OL-A stands for Online Asynchronous. No days or times are listed for the section. All course activity is completed online, with no required on-site sessions. Use of an Internet-connected computer is required.

OL-S stands for Online Synchronous. Days and times are listed for the section. All course activity is completed online but requires some or all scheduled interactive online sessions in which direct instruction occurs in real time, without delay. Use of an Internet-connected computer is required.

Banner Preview and both master schedules are available for viewing starting today, October 7. More information is available on the Banner legend (PDF, 300 KB).
