Regional OER Conference: November 11

Join your colleagues to explore open educational resources and their impact on higher education at the University of Buffalo’s 2016 Genteels’ Excellence in Teaching Conference, "High Impact Practices for Integrating Open Educational Resources (OER) into University Courses: What, Why and How?" on Friday, November 11, on the University at Buffalo's North Campus, 330 Student Union.

The morning keynote will feature David Wiley, chief academic officer of Lumen Learning, who will describe what OERs are, why they are promising, and how to adopt them in order to significantly improve higher education affordability, student outcomes, and breadth of impact. The morning program will also include breakout sessions, poster sessions, and a vendor showcase. The morning program is free and runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The post-conference workshop will be held from 1:00 to 3:50 p.m. There is a cost for the afternoon workshop.

To register or for more information, please visit the Genteels' Excellence in Teaching Conference website.
