The President's Council on Equity and Campus Diversity is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2007 Awards for Promotion of Respect for Diversity and Individual Differences. The awards are given to recognize those faculty, staff, and programs that have made special efforts to increase respect for diversity and individual difference through classroom discussions, curricular and co-curricular experiences, or projects and activities that go above and beyond what is usually expected as part of their regular job expectations, teaching assignments, or responsibilities. Awardees are selected from nominations received from students, faculty, and staff who prepare a written statement to support the nomination.
