Raised Beadwork Workshop and Presentation

The Native American Student Organization (NASO) invites you to a presentation on the history, functions, and artistry of raised beadwork as part of the 18th annual Native American Heritage Month Celebration. Lorna Hill and Sam Thomas (Cayuga), an internationally renowned beader, will present two events on Thursday, March 20. The first will be a beadwork workshop held during Bengal Pause (12:15-1:30 p.m.) in Ketchum Hall 219. Space is limited to 30 participants. The second is a presentation and discussion of the origin, use, and art of raised beadwork to be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center East 2. Both events are free and open to the public. NASO is a United Students Government (USG) recognized student group and this is a USG sponsored event.
