Faculty Volunteers Needed for Research Study

A doctoral candidate at the University at Buffalo, John Sauter, is seeking faculty volunteers to participate in a research study. If interested, please reply to him as instructed below:

Dear Professor,

I am seeking your opinion as a faculty member on diversity issues and practices in higher education. As part of my dissertation, I am conducting a brief (16- to 20-minute), one-time anonymous survey of full-time undergraduate faculty at Buffalo State College. I know that this is a busy time for you, but I hope you will consider participating in the survey as it would greatly help my research as a doctoral candidate at the University at Buffalo. The primary purpose of this study is to gain further understanding of faculty members’ insights into social attitudes and self-perceptions around diversity issues and practices.

As an incentive for participating, you will have the option to anonymously specify a student scholarship, student organization, or charity of your choice to be entered into a drawing for eight $50 donations at the close of my survey. Faculty participation is critical to the success of this dissertation study. Please feel free to share this letter or recommend this survey to faculty colleagues in your department or at your institution.

To participate in this research, simply click on this link to the informed consent form and survey. If you wish, you may also contact me at jpsauter@buffalo.edu. I would be happy to answer any questions you have, send a more detailed invitation letter, or provide a hard copy of the survey upon request. Thank you. I greatly appreciate your consideration of this request.
