Engineering Technology and Fashion and Textile Technology Departments

Effective fall 2013, the Technology Department has been reconfigured into two departments: The Engineering Technology Department and the Fashion and Textile Technology Department. Both are located in the new Technology Building.

Engineering Technology (ENT) Department
Chair: James Mayrose, Associate Professor

The Engineering Technology Department is composed of four undergraduate majors: mechanical engineering technology, electrical engineering technology (electronics and smart grid), industrial technology, and technology education. It also offers a graduate technology education program to qualify students for teaching careers as well as a graduate program in industrial technology. The department has an enrollment of more than 430 student majors.

Fashion and Textile Technology (FTT) Department
Chair: Lynn Boorady, Associate Professor
Campus Address: TECH 303
The Fashion and Textile Technology Department offers a B.S. in fashion textile technology, and last year introduced a minor program in fashion design. Currently, almost 400 students are majors in the program. Every spring the department's annual fashion show, Runway, highlights students' work.
