Professional Development Workshop: 'Facilitating and Structuring Productive Meetings and Committees' - September 18

Please join us for the professional development workshop "Facilitating and Structuring Productive Meetings and Committees," presented by Jonathan Hulbert, director of leadership and organizational development, on Tuesday, September 18, from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m. in Chase Hall 109.

Meetings and committees can sometimes feel unproductive, inefficient, boring, or unorganized; however, meeting conveners can use effective facilitation skills, an actionable agenda, role clarity, and structured content to make meetings fun, productive, and meaningful.

As a result of this session, faculty, staff, and administrators will be able to

  • create an agenda that leads to productive meetings and minimal disruptions;
  • implement meeting facilitation approaches to defuse conflict, generate innovative ideas, and make decisions supported by group consensus; and
  • identify how to structure meetings and committees to motivate action from colleagues and minimize social loafing.

Light refreshments will be provided. Please register through the Workshop Registration System.
