Do you wish your students took clearer and more complete notes? Would you like them to be more independent note-takers? Is there technology that would help? Have you ever used note-taking pairs as an active learning strategy? Join colleagues from across campus on Thursday, September 22, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in the Professional Development Center (E. H. Butler Library 181B) to discuss concerns, strategies, and possibilities for moving all students toward better and more independent note-taking skills. There will also be a short demonstration of a Livescribe Smartpen, which can record and play back a student’s notes. A light lunch will be provided.
