Professional Development: Digital Commons - Promote Your Research and Publishing Efforts to the World

Have you heard about Buffalo State's institutional repository, Digital Commons? The service showcases faculty research, student theses, and specialized digital collections in an open access format. Buffalo State's Digital Commons increases your visibility and provides a permanent public space for all types of files, and it indexes your work in search engines such as Google. Selected Works, a service of the Digital Commons, provides an easy-to-use platform for faculty members to announce and distribute articles, working papers, and presentations (and make Googling yourself much more satisfying!). Learn more about the exciting features of Digital Commons and Selected Works in this introductory session led by librarians Marc Bayer and Lisa Forrest on Wednesday, November 14, from 9:00 to 9:50 a.m. in the Professional Development Center, E. H. Butler 181B.
