Reminder: Higher Education Social Network Mapping Project Closes May 9

Thanks to those who have participated in the Higher Education Social Network Mapping Project. As you know from my previous announcement, SUNY Buffalo State has been selected as one of eight AASCU institutions to participate in this pilot project. The online survey period will end Friday, May 9. If you have not had an opportunity to complete the survey yet, I hope you can do so by Friday. Your input will be valuable to the findings of the study.

The benefits of participating in the pilot study to Buffalo State include consulting services provided by Ithaka S+R and Syndio Social worth roughly $40,000 and funding for up to 10 individuals from Buffalo State to participate in a two-day workshop on innovation and transformation at the Gates Foundation in Seattle, all expenses paid.

We will be free to use the findings from this study in any way we choose, although all PI data must be kept confidential. The findings will be confidentially available to Ithaka S+R, Syndio Social, and the Gates Foundation for research purposes only.

I am excited about the opportunity to participate in this pilot study and look forward to using the findings to enhance our programs at Buffalo State.
