Remembering 9/11

The Buffalo State community joins the rest of the nation in thoughtful remembrance of the events of September 11, 2001. As we approach the 10th anniversary of the day that so affected us as Americans, as a campus community, and as individuals, I hope you will take some time, in whatever way you choose, to reflect on the meaning of the day and honor the many lives that were so tragically lost.

You might start at Buffalo State’s own Burchfield Penney Art Center, which is one of several museums across New York State commemorating the September 11 attacks by displaying historical artifacts from the collections of the New York State Museum and the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. More information can be found on the Burchfield Penney’s website.

In remembering the horrible events of 10 years ago, let’s celebrate what means the most to us and be grateful for our loved ones, our freedoms, and all that brings joy to our lives.

Sincerely,

Aaron Podolefsky, Ph.D.
President
