President’s Professional Development Award: Jennifer Toohey and Aimable Twagilimana

I am pleased to announce that Jennifer Toohey, assistant professor of theater, and Aimable Twagilimana, professor of English, have received the President's Professional Development Award. Ms. Toohey attended the Intimacy Choreographers Intensive, an eight-day program held at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut, February 12–19. She earned professional certification as an intimacy director, making her the only director in the region and bringing a new level of distinction to Buffalo State’s Theater Department. Her professional development award profile can be viewed on the Professional Development website.

Dr. Twagilimana attended the Open SUNY Summit in East Syracuse, New York, March 6–8, where he learned from colleagues with expertise on online teaching and learning in and beyond the classroom. His professional development award profile can be viewed on the Professional Development website.

The President’s Professional Development Award supports professional development opportunities that enrich the experiences of all employees on campus by promoting opportunities that allow them to build on their expertise, identify best practices, and network with others.

Members of the campus community are invited to submit nominations for the President’s Professional Development Award by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1. If you submitted an application but did not receive the award in past months and you are interested in submitting again, please resubmit your nomination.
