Coffee with the Cabinet

The COVID-19 pandemic has interrupted so many of our most cherished in-person interactions with both our students and our colleagues. I miss stopping to chat with you—our wonderful faculty and staff members—while walking across the Plaza, during my Coffee and Conversation events in the Fireside Lounge, at quick check-ins before or after meetings, or in our discussions at campus events.

Over the next seven weeks, members of the cabinet and I would like to try something new. We are calling it Coffee with the Cabinet. Between March 18 and April 29, a member of the cabinet will host a virtual coffee hour over Zoom to simply chat, catch up, and check in with our faculty and staff. No agenda. Just bring your favorite cup of joe (or tea) and let’s connect. The affable Tom Koller will help each meeting get started with a fun set of questions for each cabinet member about our journey and background, but after we answer a few questions, we want to hear from and talk with you. How are you finding the balance between work and home life during these unprecedented times? Have you found new processes or efficiencies in the remote environment that you hope to continue in the future?

I will host the first virtual Coffee with the Cabinet session on Thursday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. Please register online to receive the Zoom meeting information. A full schedule and registration links are below. I look forward to seeing and talking with many of you on Thursday.
