Oxidative Damage to DNA: Cause and Cure

The Women in Science and Mathematics Committee is hosting Dr. Amanda Bryant-Friedrich, associate professor of pharmacy and chemistry at the University of Toledo, Thursday, April 30 during Bengal Pause (12:15 to 1:30 p.m.) in Science Building 272. Damage to DNA is implicated in the etiology of many diseases and is the target of several drug therapies. Dr. Bryant-Friedrich investigates the basic mechanisims involved in the alterations initiated in DNA by the instigators of oxidative damage. Please join us for the final lecture in our speaker series. This is a free event. All students, faculty, and staff are welcome and enouraged to attend. Reception to follow.
