The Women in Science and Mathematics Committee is hosting Dr. Amanda Bryant-Friedrich, associate professor of pharmacy and chemistry at the University of Toledo, Thursday, April 30 during Bengal Pause (12:15 to 1:30 p.m.) in Science Building 272. Damage to DNA is implicated in the etiology of many diseases and is the target of several drug therapies. Dr. Bryant-Friedrich investigates the basic mechanisims involved in the alterations initiated in DNA by the instigators of oxidative damage.
