About the PRODI-G and Africana Studies Initiative
PRODI-G ("Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Growth") aims to increase the representation of historically underrepresented faculty members at SUNY, including underrepresented minority faculty in general, and female faculty of all races in the STEM fields. As part of a campuswide initiative to hire a cluster of faculty with a strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service that promotes the success of our diverse student body, Buffalo State seeks to hire individuals who have interdisciplinary teaching and research interests related to our Interdisciplinary Africana Studies Initiative. These faculty members will contribute to the Africana studies program; their areas of specialization in teaching and scholarship, as well the academic departments housing their appointments, are open.
