Dan MacIsaac, associate professor, Physics, presented a 30-minute invited presentation, “A Modest Proposal: Addressing the Physics Teacher Shortage by Master’s-Level Cross and Alternative Certification into Physics Teaching,” at the 2008 national Winter Meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) in Baltimore, Maryland, January 19–23. The paper was coauthored by MacIsaac; David Henry, associate professor; and Kathleen Falconer, lecturer, Elementary Education and Reading.
