An article by Dolores Battle, senior adviser to the president for equity and campus diversity, titled “Communication Disorders in China: Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology,” written with RobertaAungst, appeared in the ASHA Leader, the journal of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 12 (10): 26–28. Battle also delivered three presentations at the 27th World Congress of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics in Copenhagen, Denmark, August 5–9: “Hearing Aids and Hearing Services in Developing Countries: A Report on the WHO Project”; “Emerging Issues in the Education of Speech-Language Pathologists around the Globe: The Education of Speech-Language Pathologists in the USA”; and “An Overview of Speech and Hearing Services in China: The People to People Ambassador Tour.”
