Jill M. Gradwell, assistant professor, History and Social Studies Education, served as coeditor with S.G. Grant, dean of the School of Education at Binghamton University, for the new book Teaching History with Big Ideas: Cases of Ambitious Teachers, published this summer by Rowman & Littlefield. Gradwell was also an invited guest of the ninth annual R. Freeman Butts Institute on Civic Learning in Teacher Education in Indianapolis, May 21–25.
