Zhang Jie, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Sociology and director of Buffalo State’s Center for China Studies, published the article “Psychological Gaps Related to the Suicidal Ideation in the Elderly Based on Social Reference Theory: A Qualitative Study” in the journal Sichuan Mental Health 35 (4): 349–353 (2022). The article’s coauthors were Dan Zhang, Tian Yinong, and Su Yonggang. Dr. Zhang was a visiting scholar to Buffalo State University in 2019–2020.
