Buffalo State is preparing for the decennial accreditation review by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Eight campus work groups have completed second drafts of reports addressing the 14 Middle States standards. These drafts will be compiled into one report during summer 2012. The resulting self-study will be widely distributed and discussed in fall 2012 before submission to Middle States. Thanks to the diligence and dedication of the work group teams, Buffalo State is meeting all expectations for the campus review in preparation for the spring 2013 Middle States team visit.
Kathleen Waldron, president of William Paterson University in New Jersey, will chair the Middle States team that will visit Buffalo State. Remaining members of the visiting team will be appointed in the coming weeks. President Waldron plans to make a preliminary visit to Buffalo State on Wednesday, October 10. The team visit is scheduled for March 17–20, 2013.
Updates on the Middle States process will be published in the Daily Bulletin and on the Academic Affairs website.
