Art Conservation Virtual Lecture - 'Biomedia Art: Some Survive, Few Are Conserved, Even Fewer Can Travel' - December 2

The Garman Art Conservation Department invites the campus community to join us for the next talk in our student lecture series, “Biomedia Art: Some Survive, Few Are Conserved, Even Fewer Can Travel,” presented by internationally renowned art and media scholar Jens Hauser, on Friday, December 2, at 10:30 a.m.

Jens Hauser, distinguished affiliated faculty member of electronic art and intermedia at Michigan State University, is a Paris- and Copenhagen-based art curator, writer, and media studies scholar focusing on the interactions between art and technology. He also holds a dual research position at both the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies and at the Medical Museion/Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Copenhagen.

This lecture crosses the tradition boundaries of art conservation, incorporating such areas as botany and genetics, and may be of interest to a wider campus audience. The Garman Art Conservation Department is pleased to host Professor Hauser and to be able to open this student lecture to the entire campus community.
