Free Online Narcan Training: November 3, 30

Please join us for a live Narcan online training session, presented by Horizon Health Services, on Thursday, November 3, or Wednesday, November 30, at 2:30 p.m. via Zoom. Join from your computer or mobile device or attend the Watch Party with free refreshments in Weigel Wellness Center 203.
Zoom link.

Narcan is a nasal spray that can revive people who have overdosed and reverse the effects of heroin and other opioids. Opioid use has become an epidemic, and cases have increased significantly during the pandemic. While Narcan is available over the counter and no formal training is required, here are a few reasons why you might want to attend a training:

  • Older friends or family with memory issues who can’t remember when they have taken their medication and accidentally take it twice.
  • Pets that get into everything.
  • Kids mistaking pills (which now come in different colors) for candy.

This free training is offered in collaboration with the Employee Assistance Program and the Professional Development Center. Open to all students, faculty, and staff. Please consider allowing students to attend for extra credit.
