Deborah Hovland, Associate Professor, Modern and Classical Languages

Deborah Hovland, associate professor of French in Modern and Classical Languages, has been invited to give a series of guest lectures on Haitian Vodou as part of the Great World Religions Lecture Series of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In these lectures, which are scheduled for November 14 and 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Hovland attempts to correct some of the more egregious misconceptions about this syncretic religion, and to shed light on its belief systems, practices, and pantheon. The general public is welcome to attend.
