Shannon Budin, associate professor, Exceptional Education, was guest coeditor for the International Dyslexia Association's quarterly journal Perspectives on Language and Literacy (Fall 2010), focusing on the new knowledge and practice standards for teachers of reading. Fellow coeditor was Louise Spear-Swerling from Southern Connecticut State University. Budin also published an article “Examining Promising Practices to Improve Linguistic Knowledge and Inform Practice in Teacher Education” in that issue with coauthors Nancy Mather from the University of Arizona and Elaine Cheesman from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
