Elisa Bergslien, associate professor of earth sciences and science education, was appointed information officer and webmaster for the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) Initiative on Forensic Geology. She will present at the inaugural meeting, held in Rome, Italy, September 18 and 19, and will participate in the organization's first formal training session at the Roma Tre University on September 20.
