The following have been received in the College Senate Office and forwarded to the College Senate Curriculum Committee for fall review:

New Program:
B.S. Environmental Geography, GEG

Course Revisions:
EXE 364 Educating Students with Severe/Multiple Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Prerequisites: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6; minimum grade of C in all EXE and EDU courses; exceptional education major. Overview of etiologies, theories, and teaching applications for students with severe/multiple disabilities and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). Topics include development of appropriate learning goals, teaching approaches, and environmental arrangements. Inclusions in schools and successful transition within communities, selections and use of adaptive equipment and assistive technologies, and alternate assessment are also discussed. Offered every semester.

EXE 420 Practicum in Special Education. Prerequisites: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.6; minimum GPA of 2.6 in the major; minimum grade of C in EXE 365, EXE 366, EXE 367, and EXE 368. Undergraduate student teaching experience with individuals needing special education services, completed in public, private, or charter school classrooms, private agency classrooms, or classrooms in residential settings. Required for undergraduate students seeking certification as a teacher of special education. Offered every semester.
