The Verizon Foundation will provide $20,000 in support for "Mediated Observations: Using Technology to Improve Literacy Instruction." A key program of the Center for Excellence in Urban and Rural Education's proposed Urban Teacher Academy, this program will use technology to improve literacy instruction by facilitating partnerships between teacher education faculty and highly qualified classroom teachers.
