Posted: Thursday, February 8, 2007Faculty: Check Your SABRE Rosters; Advisers: Check Your Students' Schedules
Please be aware that all requests to add courses for the spring 2007 semester must now be completed via academic appeals petition. Please verify the students in your class are the same students as those listed on your final SABRE roster. Advisers, please tell students to check their official registration for accuracy. If there is a registration discrepancy, your student will need to petition to be considered for a late add.
Based on college policy, strong evidence of an extenuating circumstance is needed to petition for a waiver of college policy. Therefore, in order to have their late registration petitions considered, students must provide (a) a documented extenuating circumstance (e.g., serious illness, death of a family member, college error) as to why they did not add the course in the required time frame, and (b) written support for the late add from both the course instructor and department chair.
Petitions are available in the Academic Standards Office in Twin Rise 100 or on the Academic Standards Office Web site, www.buffalostate.edu/
academicstandards. Please note: Petitions are only accepted if supporting documentation is attached.
