The Great Debate

The Great Debate is a forum designed for our first-year students where professors representing different areas of the liberal arts explain the contributions and value of their disciplines. The debate will feature Gary Marotta, professor, History and Social Studies Education, representing the social sciences; Susan Leist, professor, English, and director, College Writing Program, representing the humanities; Lisa Hunter, assistant professor, Music, representing the arts; and Christopher Pennuto, associate professor, Biology, representing the natural sciences. The discussion is intended to inspire in our students an appreciation and understanding of the value of all the liberal arts. The event is open to the entire campus community and will take place on Tuesday, September 25, in Bulger Communication Center South 2 during Bengal Pause (12:15 to 1:30 p.m.).
