'Be Good, Make Me Proud' - Film Screening and Panel Discussion: October 27

The Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program, in commemoration of the college's 150th anniversary, will host a film screening and panel discussion to honor and celebrate the legacy of former deputy speaker assemblymen Arthur O. Eve on Wednesday, October 27, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center.

Directed by Buffalo State College assistant professors Dorothea Braemer (Communication) and Steve Peraza (History and Social Studies Education), Be Good, Make Me Proud is a heartwarming, thoughtful tribute to Arthur O. Eve, former NY State assembly member and deputy speaker, who was instrumental in pioneering the first Educational Opportunity Program, at Buffalo State College in 1967.

The event is free and open to the public, but suggested donations toward the Jaelah Yannis Jenkins EOP fund are appreciated. The Jaelah Yannis Jenkins EOP fund enhances and expands services provided to students enrolled in the Educational Opportunity Program.

Register for the screening or donate to the fund.

Watch the trailer.
