Arsenic in the Water! A Case Study in Zimap

The Women in Science and Mathematics Committee is pleased to announce the first presentation in our annual speaker series: Dr. Lois Ongley, associate professor of chemistry at Unity College in Maine will discuss her research on arsenic and water contamination on Thursday, November 13, during Bengal Pause (12:15–1:30 p.m.) in Classroom Building C-122. Dr. Ongley received her Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Rice University and is coordinator of Unity College's Environmental Analysis Program. Dr. Ongley's research interests also include effective teaching techniques in geosciences and chemistry as well as gender issues in geosciences. This event is free and all members of the campus community are welcome and encouraged to attend. Sponsored by grants from the Office of Equity and Campus Diversity and the Grant Allocation Committee.
