Autism Awareness Night at Bengals Hockey on Friday

The Buffalo State men's hockey team will host Autism Awareness Night this Friday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m. when the Bengals take on conference rival Cortland. The evening will feature a number of fundraisers, including auctions, raffles and the sale of Buffalo State Hockey Autism Awareness buttons. In addition, Buffalo State’s players will be wearing Autism Awareness patches on their game jerseys. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the nationally-acclaimed Dr. Gertrude A. Barber National Institute, a center devoted to children with autism. Today, one in every 150 children is diagnosed with autism, making it more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDS combined.
